EMMERDALE

In 2006 James joined the cast of Hollyoaks as John Paul McQueen. During this portrayal, his character came out as gay and started having an affair with his on screen best friend Craig Dean. The storyline was nominated and won many awards.

Since leaving in 2008, James went on to appear in Casualty before making his on screen debut in Emmerdale in June 2009, playing the role of mechanic Ryan Lamb.
